Fishing.....
Delta county Michigan is every
fisherman's fantasy. Little and Big Bays de Noc, along with
148 inland lakes, many rivers and streams, combine to make
this angler’s dream.
Walleyes continue to be the
number one target for most anglers visiting the area, but
excellent fishing exists for northern pike, smallmouth bass,
perch, splake, brown trout, and other species.
Many rivers in the area host
runs of migratory steelhead and salmon. Steelhead
and salmon action is good on the Big Cedar, Days, Rapid,
Whitefish, and Sturgeon rivers. Many smaller streams
offer great fishing for native brook trout. Getting
off the “beaten” path is the best way to explore these untapped
fisheries!
 Ice
Fishing
At Sall-Mar, we take our ice
fishing serious! Because our cabins are closed in
the winter, lodging is limited to the motel, and making
reservations early is recommended.
Jigging is our preferred method
of taking Bay de Noc “eyes”, and we’ll show you the latest
in lures and techniques to take these sometimes “finicky”
fish! Winter is a great time to catch that “MONSTER”
for the wall, so come experience an ice-fishing trip with
us and see what you’ve been missing!!!!
